NEW COMMERCIALS HIGHLIGHT COOL FEATURES ON FORD VEHICLES by Pauline Matus
As I was in the other room last Sunday while my significant other was watching football, he yelled out to me, "When did ya’ll stop using fuel caps?" Now I know the first thing you’re thinking is, "Why was she in the other room while football was on" and the second was "You don’t have fuel caps?"
The answer to the first was because it wasn’t a Cowboys game and the second one was no we don’t have fuel caps anymore. And then it dawned on me that even though I do sell cars and give my customers information, I don’t really share all that information with my family. They just know that mommy sells Ford’s and that we don’t have anything else in our driveway. That means that the "rebel" family members can park on the road. Not really. They can park in the pasture. I’m not that mean.
But it does remind me that Ford has some really cool and inventive products that sometimes I forget just how cool they are. I mean no fuel caps. That’s awesome! No more worrying about having the check engine light come on because you forgot to hold your mouth the right way when you screwed it on. Also none of that embarrassing scenario of, "I was in a hurry and forgot to put it back on and now it’s dangling in the wind going down the highway."That’s great because now people don’t have to honk or look at you funny and try to play highway picture charades to let you know what’s going on. No more scratched up fenders. No more smelly hands from the dribble of that gas hose. And most importantly no more sneaky people in the night siphoning your gas out of your tank. Though I can’t say that’s happened to me, knock on wood.
And Sync! Wow! What a product! I could go on and on about this product, but they limit me to a word count. It uses the system in your car by linking up your Bluetooth phone. It does everything! Makes and receives calls, downloads your phonebook, reads your texts and it can even send a few back, and that’s not even mentioning all the stuff it can do with your USB port and MP3 player. Voice activated commands let you play different genres or different tracks. It’s an unbelievable service that’s on most Ford vehicles right now and it’s awesome. And no monthly charge! You purchase a vehicle with Sync on it and it’s yours for life. No extra charges. How great is that! It’s the end of the crooked neck syndrome.
It’s the little things that Ford has done here in the past couple of years that has really made me proud and excited to sell an automobile again. Mainly it’s because it’s not just a car or a truck. It’s more of a living space that we spend so much time in. And it’s those small and large living spaces that Ford has done so well at re-doing lately. I can’t wait to see what’s next.
