2011 Pancake Breakfast Successful in the Body Shop

The Christmas Eve tradition continues in a new venue as the pancake breakfast moved to the body shop in 2011. 900 plates of pancakes were served in house and another 250 plates to go combined to make this latest breakfast a success.

The much improved lighting and cleaner, more spacious interior led to many oohs and ahhs by our appreciative patrons as they spread out into the extra 100+ seats and stayed for a much longer time enjoying the food, fun and fellowship.

The vallet parking proved to be the biggest challenge in the new facility as the parkers had longer runs and terrain changes to negociate. The inclimate weather added to their fun as much of the morning was consumed with driving rain. We will probably invest in rain ponchos before next year.

Overall the new body shop turned out to be a great place to host a massive pancake breakfast. Here is a video of the event. Enjoy!

Santa and Wife Ride In Sykora Family Ford Mustang In Baylor Homecoming Parade!

Our good friend and customer, Spencer Moore, took this picture at the Baylor homecoming parade. For those of you who don't know Spencer Moore, he is an awesome eye doctor in Waco and a thriving amateur photographer. He and his family has also purchased well over 20 Fords from our dealership over the years. Thanks Spencer.

Our Dealership Family Morns the Loss of One of Our Own : Dan Petter Gone But Not Forgotten

Sykora Family Ford lost a co-worker and a good friend on Sunday morning, October 30th as Dan Petter passed away at his home. Dan was the face of Sykora Family Ford to many of our parts customers as he was our awesome parts delivery specialist since December of 2007 and he will be greatly missed but not forgotten.

Dan's passing was noted with a moment of silence and prayer amoung the workers of our dealership on Monday, October 31 at 8:30 am. His funeral is scheduled for Thursday, November 3rd at 10:00 am. The employees of Sykora Family Ford will be honorary pallbearers.

We join Dan's family in mourning the loss of a great man.

Diesel Training Night is a Success

Over sixty people attended Sykora Family Ford's third annual diesel training night on 10/18/2011. Lee Stevenson and Dwayne Canal of Blue Diamond once again put on a splendid show of their diesel mastery. This year's class was geared more to the 6.4 liter Powerstroke engine with special attention given to the unique maintenance requirements of the engine. We would like to thank all of our fleet customers and installers who took time out of their Tuesday night to enjoy Mark Hardwick's fine catered meal of beef brisket, sausage and all the trimmings and to be schooled on the Powerstroke engine. Also special thanks need to be given to Richard Pavelka, Brian (Pnut) Uptmor and numerous other employees of Sykora Family Ford for all their hard work in making the event a success.
